Outreach Committee

Members:  Bev Buckingham, Brianna Shea, and Marjorie Edwards, Kanata/Stittsville Refugee Sponsorship Committee Representative.

Outreach Committee meets the 3rd Thursday of every month (except in July, August & December) from 7:00-8:00 p.m.  New members are welcome!

 In 2011 Kanata United donated $10,761 to:

• Kanata Food Cupboard (general fund)
• Ottawa West End Community Chaplaincy, their family camp and teens-at-risk canoe trip
• Kanata Stittsville Refugee Sponsorship Committee

• Pastoral Care in Secondary School

• Gift cards for youth away at school

Kanata United's local outreach provides assistance in many ways in addition to financial 
support, such as:

• serving breakfast at The Mission's breakfast program every Tuesday,
• collecting food in the collection box throughout the year and special drives for the Kanata Food Cupboard,
• providing space and spiritual support for the Kanata Kareer Group,
• collecting swim suits, towels, goggles and flippers for children at the Boys & Girls Club
